MNA Disaster Response Warehouse

4063 Martha Berry Highway, Rome, GA 30165

Several of our members have previously served individually at the MNA Disaster Response warehouse, and this spring we are excited to offer group RV service trip opportunities here on two separate occasions. The first week is March 7 through 13, and the second week is May 16 through 22. We have intentionally scheduled these warehouse service weeks just before the Ridge Haven trip in March and the Camp Westminster trip in May so you can conveniently string two trips together if you are so inclined, while allowing a few days of down time and travel time between.

Schedule overview:

We will be generally working each day, Monday through Friday, starting each day with a short devotional time. We will reserve some time during the week to hear from MNA staff about how RVers can become more involved in the Disaster Response ministry. In addition, we will reserve an afternoon to take an outing to one of the points of interest in the Rome area. The warehouse provides us with a very nice hospitality area which we can use for shared meals and for fellowship time.

What work will we be doing:

We will be adding more information about this trip in the coming days as we learn more about the specific needs and how we can best serve. Often we are involved in a wide variety of building maintenance tasks as well as involved in helping to organize and prepare the relief supplies stored there.

Facilities for RVs:

We will be using the fenced-in area beside the warehouse for parking RVs. There are 50 amp and 20 amp electrical plugs available outside the building. While there is not an RV sewer hookup at the warehouse, there is a free public dump station available at the Rome welcome center. Water is available for filling your fresh tank at the warehouse, as well as at the Rome welcome center, and the RaceTrac service station nearby. The best plan is to arrive with full fresh water and empty holding tanks. There are restroom and shower facilities available for our use at the warehouse which helps to cut down on water use in your RV.
