Trip overview:

The MNA RV Ministry started volunteering at Ridge Haven Cono in 2023, and we look forward to continuing and expanding our partnership with this ministry.  Ridge Haven Cono started out as the Cono Christian School and the site is transforming into a delightfully interesting blend of a school campus and a camp /retreat center.

What work will we be doing:

We typically work on general maintenance of the buildings and grounds. This can include carpentry, painting, landscaping work, library and classroom organization and more.  We always work as a team, so there are ways to contribute regardless of your skill, energy, or experience level. Bring along your favorite hand tools, power tools and personal safety equipment as you are able. (Gloves, knee pads, safety glasses and ear plugs are often useful.) For those signed up for this trip, we will be communicating more information in the coming days as we learn more about the specific needs and how we can best serve.

Daily schedule:

We start each day with a short devotional time at 8:30 am and begin work at 9:00 am.  Lunch break is from 12:00 - 1:30 pm and we quit work at 4:00 pm.  Morning and afternoon 15 minute breaks are encouraged as needed.

Meals:

We each prepare our own meals and eat dinner together in the covered picnic area in the campground. Dinner is at 6:00 pm, with some fellowship time, weather permitting.

Facilities for RVs:

Ridge Haven provides full hookup RV sites (with up to 50amp electric) on a large, level gravel & grassy parking area. All sites are pull-in. A self-contained RV is necessary for this trip. Laundry is available within walking distance. It is helpful if you are able to bring a towed car or use your tow vehicle for transport around camp. It's not required though, since we share rides as needed.  Water hook-ups are shared between every-other RV site, so a water splitter and extra water hose is handy to have along.

Getting to Ridge Haven Cono:

It is fairly straightforward getting to Ridge Haven Cono using your GPS and the address above.  As you approach the campus, be aware of the one-way entrance and exit roads, which are well marked.  The RV area will be ahead to your right. (See the campus map below for details).
